10th Annual SAVE Report and updated Blueprint
We have now compiled our annual SAVE report with summaries and details of achievements across Asia region in 2020. This also includes the substantially updated Blueprint Recovery Plan (also available here as a separate document). Unfortunately, the November 2020 meeting was online for the first time due to Covid restrictions. However, this brought advantages of wider participation, especially for the open day, and the workshop sessions have already resulted in further progress of several Blueprint priorities.
The report gives full vulture work updates from each of the six countries across Asia, and relates directly to the agreed priority actions from the Blueprint for Recovery of Asia’s Globally Threatened Vultures. The regional priorities remain unchanged, and other highlights and updates in the composition of SAVE Partners (now 24) are among the 2020 updates reported.
If you don’t have time to read through the full report, please do check the opening pages and summaries. Finally, if you missed any presentations, remember they are all still accessible online here – a major positive from this year’s meeting.
2020 was a difficult and challenging time for many but the progress shown in these reports is a testament to the hard work, dedication and resilience of all our partners. Well done and thank you to everyone involved in efforts to save Asia’s vultures.
We wanted to mark SAVE’s 10 year anniversary somehow and we do have some exciting news coming very soon on something a bit special. Look out for more on this soon!
