Special Vulture Edition of Hornbill made available online

We’re delighted to announce that the Bombay Natural History Society have kindly made the Vulture Special edition of their in-house magazine “Hornbill” freely available online: https://www.bnhs.org/public/hornbill_pdf/1697527550.pdf

The edition, entirely devoted to vultures, was belatedly published last year and includes numerous key articles from each of the SAVE countries, especially highlighting the Vulture Safe Zone work and protocols from across India and neighbouring countries. Other articles feature key SAVE priority activities, as well as background information on vulture status, threats, environmental and cultural significance to Parsees and other communities, the breeding programme, African and European vultures, and the rationale and functioning of the SAVE consortium.

Our thanks to Hornbill editor Vibhuti Dedhia and her BNHS colleagues for their efforts in compiling this valuable edition which is dedicated to the late Dr RD Jakati. And particular thanks to BNHS for agreeing to make the edition freely available to all.
