SAVE Blueprint relaunched – 2025

The SAVE Blueprint is the Vulture Recovery Plan for South and South-East Asia and describes a set of Objectives and Actions based on evidence of effectiveness which the partners have agreed are essential if this overall goal is to be attained – to prevent the extinction and enable the recovery of Globally Threatened vultures to viable population levels in South and South East Asia. The Blueprint has guided vulture conservation in the SAVE partner countries since 2014 and it is updated every year.

However, in 2025 the Blueprint has been restructured and fully reviewed with the involvement of all core partners to make sure the objectives and actions are fully aligned with the current status and understanding of vulture conservation in the region. We hope this revision will help guide partners and other stakeholders to align activities and work towards a better future for vultures.

The Blueprint will continue to be reviewed annually and will be used to track progress and identify opportunities and challenges across the SAVE partner range.
